The school has appropriate technical equipment –a fax machine, phones, computers, printers, copiers, equipment for the production of printed materials and advertising; own sound system.

The school is part of the Moodle community.


Agrupamento dе Escolas de Arrifana-Escola Básica de Arrifana, Portugal

arifanaAgrupamento de Escolas de Arrifana- EscolaBásica de Arrifana is a public school with 900 students, aged 3 to 15.  We have 13 buildings and the main one has 6 ICT classrooms. We have also a library equipped with 7 PC. All the school has wireless and the internet access is very easy and free for all the users. We have also 4 Interactive boards and all the classrooms have videoprojectors (23) and 7 video projectors in other school spaces. We already use ICT pedagogical contents in most lessons in all the different subjects. Most of the students have personal PC and Internet access at home. It’s usual for students and parents to use our website http://www.agrupamentoarrifana.com/joomla/ to have access to all the information and services.

The Moodle access will help us implement the project. This project will permit specified teachers to motivate and help the construction of e-Learning knowledge.

Sofia University”St. Kliment Ohridski”, Pedagogical Faculty

suSofia University (SU) is the oldest Bulgarian university. Included in the Draft of the Basic Law of schools in the Principality of Bulgaria from 1880, it became a reality seven years later asa Senior Educational Course to the First High School for boysin Sofia.It was transformed from a Course into a School of Higher Education on08.12.1888. The provisional statute recognised only one Faculty, that of History and Philology, with three degree courses: History, Slavic Philology, and Philosophy and Education.Nowadaysit already has 16 Faculties, 3 Departments, 6 independentstructuresand 6 research centers. Over the centuries, SU has established itself as a national center for higher education, science and culture. It is an evolving structure. Proof of this is the reconstruction of the youngest faculty – the Faculty of Medicine, that was re-integrated as a structural unit of  the Alma Mater in 2006, and the latest specialty – Pharmacy, launched in the academic 2012-2013.

Currently the university is accredited to teach students in the three degrees – bachelor, master and doctor. SU develops research in the natural and mathematical, social sciences and humanities.

Established scholars and specialists in all fields of natural and mathematical sciences and humanitiesworkin “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Over 1,700 lecturerswork with permanent contracts, among them – academicians, corresponding members of the Academy of Sciences, professors – more than 200, associate professors – over 600, senior assistants -over 700 andassistants –more than 170. There are  research laboratories and centers in the faculties where science is created.

The specialized training in pedagogy marks the beginning of higher education in Bulgaria and the Faculty of Education as a partner in the project is essential for the creation of the University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Since 1986 the Faculty of Education has been established as an independent structural unit of the University. The Faculty offers three specialties – Education, Social Work and Informal Education and is accredited to conduct training in the three degrees – bachelor, master and doctor. The teaching staff of the department consists of 42 highly skilled experts, including 7 professors, 21 associate professors and 14 assistant professors.

The Faculty trains more than 1,100 students in full-time and part-time training. The students’ classes are conducted in the halls and rooms in the main building of the University –The Rectorateand in the halls at IV km, bl. 1 and in the Faculty of Biology. The Faculty has a sufficient number of properly equipped auditoriums with capacity to 500 seats.

There are three research centers within the faculty –the Centre for Educational Technologies, the Center for Professional and Career Development and Training Research Laboratory of Experimental and Professional Education and the Center for Civic Education. The faculty lecturers, PhDstudentsand students work actively there. The Faculty of Education collaborates with more than 30 basic institutions – kindergartens, schools, agencies, NGOs, social facilities. The cooperation with them is useful for both sides. On the one hand it contributes for the fruitful practical training of students in the learning process. On the other hand, the base specialists take advantage of opportunities for continuing professional education in masters and doctoral programs in the Faculty.
